Cork act that fuses careering electric mandolin, punkabilly, fervid stage antics and a sense of unpredictability.' Irish Times. 'We need more of this madness’ - Hot Press. ‘Mad, bad and dangerous to know’ - Evening Echo. ‘One of the best live acts you’re likely to see’ -Inside Cork. ‘The most intense country music ever’ - Shite N’ Onions. ‘The ultimate good time part band’ - Unfit For Consumption. Los Langeros hail from Corks hispanic quarter in the sunny south of Ireland and have been kicking up a racket with their giddy-up goat-punk sound down there for the last 8 or so years. Their line-up represents their musical diversity being comprised of a ragtag mix of Irish, Scottish, and English musicians. A screeching electric mandolin flanked by two guitar wielding madmen with jews-harp, harmonica, tambourine and outrageous catchy vocals all backed up by a ferocious pounding rhythm section lashing out some of the most intense country music ever. The groove is a punkabilly ska-tinged medley of singalong choruses and distorted 12-string melodies ]guaranteed to work any crowd into a screaming slobbering mess. Los Langeros have released 3 cds independently to great critical acclaim and have gigged consistently both at home and in the UK, sharing stages with the likes of Jinx Lennon, Ten Past Seven, Rest, Giveamanakick, Stanley Super 800 and Rulers of the Planet. They regularly sell out shows in Cork and have won over audiences at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Mantua, Kilkenny Rhythm N' Roots and Spraoi.(from the band's Facebook page)
